Introduction

On behalf of all the children, staff and governors may I welcome you to Dedworth Green First School and Nursery!

The school is on the western edge of Windsor and was built in 1952 to serve new housing being built in the area. We currently have around 200 children on roll and a staff team of 40 adults. Our website aims to give you helpful information about our aims, general organisation and activities and provide you with an insight into the varied opportunities that are available to the children at Dedworth Green First School.

Our main aim is to provide high quality of teaching and learning and to improve the enjoyment and education of all the children in our care.

Our friendly staff team is clearly committed to providing a secure and happy environment in which all children are able to thrive socially, emotionally and academically. This is built on the strong relationships fostered by all members of the school community. Our children are highly motivated, well behaved and truly delightful to teach!

Our school mission statement created was by the staff and pupils at Dedworth Green First School

Develop curious minds through a broad, well balanced and meaningful curriculum which equips our children for life in the 21st century.
Grow: confident and happy children who care for each other in a safe, happy and stimulating environment.
Fun and family: Making Dedworth Green an exciting place to be where we celebrate our achievements and support the local community.
Strive: Towards outstanding teaching and learning where every child reaches their full academic and social potential.

We look forward to working with you and your children.
