I am Louise Brown, Head Teacher here at Dedworth Green First School - a school which has always been close to my heart after I completed my final teaching practice here whilst studying at the University of Reading. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would return one day as Head Teacher!
Prior to returning to DGFS in 2015, I have taught many different age ranges at two Primary Schools in Nottinghamshire and Doncaster. I have also completed post graduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs and Mathematics, and Leadership in Education which has helped me to have a greater understanding of theories behind teaching and how to lead school improvement. The experience I have gained in other settings has provided me with lots of ideas on how I can make our school here in Dedworth even better! I have also been a governor at two other schools prior to joining the governing body here.
In my spare time I love shopping, spending time with friends and family and sometimes going to watch Reading football games (although they never seem to win when I go and watch!)!
I am passionate about making a difference for the children, families and local Dedworth community and look forward to working with you all.
Assistant Head Teacher/Acting Head Teacher
I am Cindy Barry and I have been working here at Dedworth Green for the past 9 years where my teaching career began. Since being at the school I have taught in Reception, Year 1, Year 3 and year 4. I have also recently been appointed Assistant Head Teacher which I am thoroughly looking forward to. Dedworth is an amazing school with wonderful children, staff and parents.
Before my teaching career began I started off as a nursery nurse working with children aged 6 weeks to 5 years. I loved working with, nurturing and supporting children which encouraged me to begin teaching.
In my spare time I spend time with my husband James and my son Lucas. I also enjoy swimming, reading and running which I have started to do more of recently.
I am looking forward to the position of Acting Head Teacher in September whilst Miss Brown is on maternity leave.

Reception Class Teacher and EYFS Phase Lead
Hello. My name is Nusheen Awan and I teach Reception and Lead the Early Years (Nursery & Reception) at DGFS. I have been teaching Early Years for over twenty years but this is my second year of teaching in Windsor. I work with a great team of happy, smiley people and we strive to create a vibrant and stimulating learning environment for our Nursery and Reception children, where they feel safe and secure as they explore and find out about the world around them. I love storytelling, creative projects, singing and exploring the outdoors with children as they learn about our amazing world.
We are also currently creating plans and designs to further develop our extensive outdoor area.
At home, I have a grown up family of three daughters, two currently at University and a husband who makes me laugh! I enjoy cooking, creating art, cycling and watching Marvel films.
Year 4 Teacher and KS1 and 2 Phase Lead
I am not surprised I am a teacher at Dedworth Green First School as I attended the Middle School in Year 5, after transferring from Wexham Court Primary because of a family move to Windsor. Unfortunately, I never had the chance to experience Dedworth First as a child, however the great experience I have working here as an adult; I know I would have been happy here.
After graduating from Winchester University with a Drama degree (I wanted to become a secondary drama teacher), I was lucky enough to secure a teaching assistant role at Dedworth Green First School. I trained to become a primary school teacher here and continue to love teaching five years later. I aspire to leave every pupil I teach with a positive experience of learning that will impact a tiny part of them for life.
When I am not teaching, I am learning Spanish, spending time with loved ones and enjoying siestas!
Year 2 Teacher, English and PE lead
My name is Holly Foulkes. I have worked at Dedworth Green First School for the last five years.
I have attended Windsor schools throughout my school career before attending Kingston university and am thrilled to be working back in the Windsor schools community. My degree was for Primary education with English specialism. My passions are keeping fit and reading a wide range of literature, which is fitting as I am both the English and PE lead for the school.
Since becoming the PE lead I have maintained the school games gold award for four years at Dedworth Green First School and after the allotted time will be going for platinum! I was also able to get the outdoor gym for the students and enrich them with after school and in school physical activities, including introducing the daily mile. I encourage both staff and pupils alike to stay active and healthy as a lifestyle choice and something you 'get' to do not 'have' to do.
I am new to the role of English lead but am excited to take this new challenge on and develop a love of English that was instilled in me at school across the year groups.
I have lived locally my whole life and when I am not at school I love long walks in the country, playing sports like badminton, cooking and reading.
School: Hi, My name is Mrs Troublé I have just started at Dedworth Green First School. I have been working in early years for 8 years and I find this very rewarding. I have a passion to provide a nurturing environment in which children can thrive. I am very creative and love to get involved with art and craft activities. Aprons at the ready! I also enjoy encouraging the children’s self-help skills to watch them grow and learn to be independent.
My family: I am happily married to Fred. We live locally with our two children Léa and Florian who are respectively 11 and 9 years old. At weekends when I am not busy supporting my children in their hobbies, I like to attend some yoga classes or go swimming

I am Kelsie Palmer and I am the year 1 teacher at Dedworth Green! I have recently joined the school and this is my first year teaching! I trained to teach in Sheffield, and went to University in Southampton. Although I am new here, I know how wonderful the school is and I am grateful to work with such an amazing team!
In my spare time I enjoy art and any excuse to be crafty! As well as art I am a huge fan of football and netball and love to play when I have the chance!
