• Singing Assembly

  We are very lucky to have Mr Manwaring, WLP Director of Music leading our singing assemblies on a Friday afternoon. It is a fantastic way to end the week!

  

• First week back completed!

• Year 4 Leaver's Assembly

  Year 4 had a wonderful send off today in their Leaver's Assembly. We are so proud of them all and they are going to be amazing at their middle schools! 

  
  We also awarded our new award for the first time - The Ripley Award. Named after Mrs Ripley who has been working at DGFS for over sixty years, The Ripley Award celebrates the child who has embodied the DGFS values and expectations throughout their time at DGFS. The award is voted for by all the adults who work in the school and by the Year 4 pupils themselves. Well done to our first winner and runner up!

  

• Sports Day

  What a fantastic Sports Day we had here at DGFS today. All of the children were fantastic whilst completing their different events and there were some very exciting races (particularly the grown ups!) Well done to all involved and thank you to Miss Foulkes for organising such a successful day.

  

• Joseph! Year 4's Leaving Performance

  Year 4 put on a fantastic show yesterday afternoon for their families and friends. It was great to see all the hard work that they had put in during the summer term come to fruition with an excellent performance by all involved. A big thank you must be said to Mrs Gatehouse for all her time and effort into ensuring that the show was a memorable experience for all involved.

  

• Summer Fair!

  What a fantastic Summer Fair! It was so lovely to see so many of our families attending and enjoying the range of stalls and activities on offer. We hope you all had as much fun as we did!
