Vision and Values
Our school vision and values statement created was by the staff and pupils at Dedworth Green First School
Our Vision:
At Dedworth Green First School, we are committed to fostering an environment where every pupil can fully fulfil their potential and make strong progress in their learning. We believe in the power of community and actively involve families in their children's education and the broader school community. Our goal is to become a school of excellence within the local area, maintaining an outward-facing approach that meets the needs of the entire community. We strive to build strong links across the community, ensuring that both pupils and staff are happy and safe in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Our Values:
We pride ourselves on the family atmosphere found in our school community where children, parents and teachers work together. The team strives to ensure that lessons are inspirational, challenging and creative. We aim to harness our children’s enthusiasm and natural curiosity by offering a diverse range of new experiences; raising their aspirations and personal ambition; as well developing life-skills and independence; building resilience by encouraging risk-taking and perseverance; and raising self-esteem, self-belief and self-awareness through our nurturing approaches, which leads to happy children, who celebrate successes, and grow into well-rounded young people.
School Expectations
- School expectations are Be Kind, Be Safe and Be Ready. They are displayed in each classroom.
- They are intended to be guidelines of behaviour expectations that both pupils and adults would like to see in their classroom and around the school.
We look forward to working with you and your children.
