The school closes on Friday 19th July at 1pm for the Summer holidays. We look forward to seeing the children in Years 1-4 back at school on Wednesday 4th September. Have a good Summer break.

Welcome toDEDWORTH GREEN FIRST SCHOOL

On behalf of all the children, staff and governors may I welcome you to Dedworth Green First School website. The school is located on the western edge of Windsor and was built in 1952 to serve new housing being built in the area. We currently have around 160 children on roll from Nursery through to Year 4 and a staff team of 30 adults. Our website aims to give you helpful information about our vision and values, important information about DGFS and our general organisation and the latest news whilst providing you with an insight into the varied opportunities that are available to our children at Dedworth Green First School.

    Neurodiversity Week!

    We kickstarted our Neurodiversity Celebration Week with a Rainbow assembly today. The children heard about neurodiversity and the importance of being kind. We have a week of activities planned - check out our social media accounts for more information!

    Comic Relief at DGFS!

    It was a sea of red at DGFS today as we raised money for Comic Relief. The children enjoyed telling each other jokes as part of our joke competition, with the class winners sharing their jokes in the whole school assembly!

    Bedtime stories!

    The children really enjoyed our Bedtime Stories Reading Carousel as part of the DGFS book week. It was lovely to see how engaged all the children were in the stories being read by the teachers!
