Attendance & Punctuality

School Times

Morning NURSERY starts at 8.45am and ends at 11.45am

Afternoon NURSERY starts at 12.15pm and ends at 3.15pm

(Full time Nursery children attend 8.45 - 3.15pm, including a lunch break)

Our usual school day for RECEPTION is 8.35 - 8.45am (soft start) – 3.15pm

Please confirm your start date and time with the school office.

It is important for your child to arrive on time for school

being late is unsettling for your child.

It can be upsetting for a child to be brought into a classroom where the children are already settled and the register is being taken. Just after registration, direct teaching and learning takes place and activities for the session are explained to the whole class –

if your child is late, they do not know this important information.

Within school hours entrance to the school is by the main entrance only. All other gates are locked. If you do arrive late at the start of the session, you will need to sign your child in at the school office.

**Please also report to the office if for any reason you arrive EARLY

to collect your child from a session.**

If you are going to be delayed at home time, please telephone the school office

to let us know so that we can reassure your child. PLEASE LET A MEMBER OF STAFF KNOW IF ANYONE DIFFERENT IS PICKING UP YOUR CHILD FROM SCHOOL.

Your child will not be permitted to leave unless we have been notified.

Absence

If your child is ill, please call the school office on the morning of the first day of absence. SCHOOL OFFICE 01753 861668

You do not need to speak to the class teacher, just

leave a message with the office staff or on the school answer-phone.

If your child becomes unwell at school, we will follow first aid procedures and then contact you if they have had a head bump. Children MUST stay home for 48 hours following any episodes of diarrhoea or vomiting.

Please note that holidays in term time will not be authorised.

An appointment will have to be made with the Headteacher to discuss any holiday requests.
